Welcome to Nudge4u ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience using our habit-building application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Nudge4u mobile application (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide

When you use Nudge4u, we may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Account Information: When you sign in using Apple ID or Google Sign-In, we receive your email address, display name (if provided), and a unique user identifier.

• Habit Data: Information about the habits you create, including goals, schedules, workflow steps, and target times.

• Session Logs: Records of your habit completion sessions, including dates, durations, and any notes you add.

• Behavioral Profile: Your preferences determined during the calibration process (archetype, chronotype, blockers, triggers).

• Biography/Narrative: Any personal narrative or story you add or edit within the app.

• Friend Accountability Data: If you choose to use the Friend Accountability feature, we store invitation data, shared habit links, and partner connections that you explicitly create.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.

• Usage Data: Features used, session times, and interaction patterns (only if you opt-in to analytics).

• Health Data (Optional): With your explicit permission, we may access sleep and energy data from HealthKit to provide personalized insights. This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

   Process Subscriptions: To manage your Nudge4u Pro subscription through Apple's StoreKit.

   Enable Friend Accountability: To facilitate mutual accountability between you and your chosen partners by sharing limited habit data (see below).

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including:

• Firebase Authentication: For secure account management.

• Cloud Firestore: For storing your habits, logs, and profile data. Data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure.

• Vertex AI (Firebase AI Logic): For processing AI-powered features. AI prompts are processed via Google's global infrastructure. Your data is NOT used to train Google's AI models. Processing is governed by Google's Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure GDPR-compliant international data transfers.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete all your data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data for legal or compliance purposes.

Children's Privacy

Nudge4u is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Analytics and Tracking

Nudge4u uses PostHog for analytics to understand app usage patterns. Analytics is disabled by default (privacy-first approach). You must explicitly opt-in via the toggle in the App's Privacy settings if you wish to help us improve the app.

When analytics is enabled, we collect:

• Anonymized event data (e.g., "habit_created", "habit_completed")

• No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent

• No session recordings are ever captured

We do not use advertising-related tracking or share your data with advertisers.

Friend Accountability Feature

What It Is

The Friend Accountability feature allows you to invite a friend to share a habit with you. When you connect, you can see each other's progress (completion status and streaks) to stay motivated together.

Data Shared with Partners

When you accept or send a friend accountability invitation, the following data becomes visible to your partner:

Consent and Control

• Explicit Consent: Sharing only happens when you explicitly accept an invitation or your partner accepts yours. No data is shared without this mutual agreement.

• Revoke Access Anytime: You can unlink from your partner at any time using the "Unlink Partner" feature. This immediately revokes their access to your shared habit data.

• Invitation Expiry: Invitations expire after 48 hours if not accepted.

Technical Security

• Partner data access is enforced at the database level using Firebase Security Rules

• Partners can only read (not modify) your habit data

• All operations are authenticated and validated server-side

International Data Transfers

If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure adequate protection for your data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Sending you a notification within the App (for significant changes).
